The theme of the 11^th Green Week, the biggest annual conference on European environment policy, is "Resource Efficiency - Using less, living better".

The conference will address the problem of resource depletion and scarcities, the challenges and opportunities in becoming more discerning and resource efficient, and showcase public and private strategies contributing to the shift towards a resource-efficient and low-carbon economy. Green Week offers a unique opportunity for debate and exchanges of experience and best practice.

The 2010 edition attracted some 3400 participants from government, business and industry, non-governmental organisations, academia and the media.
